How real is this?
The archival Hawaiian, photographs, and source provenance are the evidence layer. Short English posts, tonal restorations, and color reconstructions are modern derived views, not quotations or original color photographs from 1897.
The system tries to preserve the source's communicative move too: announcement, warning, rallying, celebration, argument, direct address, punctuation, and other supported voice signals. It does not invent modern slang or attitudes the source does not support.
Image color is allowed as a clearly labeled best estimate during this proof of concept. Original and restored B&W remain available so uncertainty stays visible.
